Reflection about this novel

                  At first I don’t think I can finish reading this novel. I don’t like to read a book and this book contain almost 300 pages and it’s a lot for me, but finally I can finish it. Reading this book help me become more patient. I think this project is a lot and also boring but when I start do each of the assignment it seem very easy and also fun. While I am doing each step it also help me to know more about the book, what is the author trying to say. I learn how to summary the book in correct way, I learn how to make a time line and I learn many things. This book is very interesting. It tells about Jill who has to fight with the pancreatic cancer, it also about her dreams how she want her garden to become beautiful. I think Jill is very strong girl, she thinks of giving up but at the end she fights with the cancer and she can cure from it. I can apply this to my life. I have to be strong and I have to fight with all of the problems and I must not giving up on anything.

Goals, dreams, and motives behind a main character

This story is mostly about Jill. She is a mother who has a great family. She has 3 kids and all of them are boys. Her goal is to cure from pancreatic cancer because she wants to stay with her kids so she has to fight with this disease even it has a less chance to become normal but she doesn’t give up. She has Caye her best friend to support her. At first she think she won’t fight with this disease, but when she think about her sons it’s like she has to fight for them because she doesn’t want them to grow up without a mother.

            Jill’s dream is she wants to make her garden beautiful as Caye’s Garden. Jill can’t make her garden beautiful because she doesn’t know how to plant a tree so Caye has to come and help Jill to make her garden beautiful. It took many days to finish it. That time Jill and Caye spend most of the time together. Planting the garden is the most favorite thing for Caye. Making the garden to be beautiful make Jill become better. Finally Jill’s garden is full of many kinds of flower and it’s very nice as Caye’s garden.

            Jill’ motive is all her children and her husband. They are like everything to her. She has to fight with the cancer so that she can stay with her family. That time it is very difficult for her, to fight with pancreatic cancer is very hard. She almost giving up but when she think that if she giving up who will take care of her children, her husband couldn’t handle them alone cause they are very naughty so she has to fight with the cancer no matter how hard it is. And at the end she cure from the cancer and she live her life happily.
